Forty day

Its been years since the Sharifi family who had lost their father Al-qaeda bomb explosion on Kazmain city of Iraq in 2008 have been doing a memorial dedicated to their father in the fortieth day of Ashura incident. they’ve been setting up a small ceremony for the mourners of immam Hussein. after the ceremony they host the mourners with votive foods. In this youth jury they dirge and they would dagger * for the third immam of shia.

daggering is a kind of religious ceremony which is common among some of shias and in this ceremony mourners injure their heads with a sharp item such as knife so that it would bleed.  The mourners do this kind of mourning in  muharram month with the purpose of showing their love and respect to the third immam of shia and increase their bravery and indication of jehad toward their beliefs. The participants usually do this ceremony at the morning of ashura and arbain with white clothing and they venture in doing this ceremony.
